Updated, there were some floating leaf problems, I fixed them!

Hi again,

This live Journal seems a bit death/undiscovered, but that does not stop me from creating stuff!
As I mentioned in a earlier post I was making a new version of the default neighborhood textures. With some helpful feedback I finally finished the project. I changed some files from my previous default replacements, but most of them are totally redone (a base game compatible version is included!).

I proudly present: Version 2.1 !

Inline Image Defaults V2

Important: if you want to be able to see all the neighborhood flora from lots you have to use the cheat: boolProp dontmergenhflora false. It is recommend to type this cheat in your UserStartup.cheat file in the Config folder.

Winter with snow:

Some trees do not get a snow color as you can clearly see in this picture without custom textures (the standard unmodified version of the game):
Maxis Winter Textures
I am afraid I can not do anything about that..

Here is a extra snow cycle from lot view in the Any Game Starter (1,2,3).

An extended read me with further details is included in the download; the files are Base Game compatible! I used 7zip to compress the files which is supported by Winrar.

[I fixed most of the floating leaves. A darker Version is now available. You can mix the darker files with the V2.1 normal version]

You only need the fixed files when you own Seasons or/and Apartment Life.

I'm glad you like it! I had some pink blossom textures laying around for some trees I made some time ago. Those are not released yet, but maybe I will release them somewhat later! I am also really happy with how the textures turned out for this pink tree! Thanks for commenting!

You're welcome!

And your neighborhooddeco defaults are awesome too! I really should have commented on it, sorry about that! If I have some more spare time I will probably take another look on you're awesome posts!

I am thinking about making another version of them, with the same textures but with another color combination, the dark version turned out actually to be a little bit too dark! So if you do not like these versions, there is still hope xD

But thank you for commenting!

Well, I'm glad about the dark version of the Joshua tree, that thing always hurt my eyes. :)

Wonderful! This has helped my machinima a lot. :) I was aggravating myself over how crappy the trees looked and not even a few days later you came out with this!

I love these defaults! Would you be able to make more vibrantly colored tree defaults? (But not neon.) Maxis' colors are vibrant, but the textures are horribly blurry and the trees look like blobs. :( I want to make some Nintendo style neighborhoods with pretty trees, but these lovely tree colors area bit too realistic.
